Third Forest Canopy Shawl- DONE.

Finished shawl.

Beautiful.

Stats:

Forest Canopy Shawl, the best damn first lace project ever.

Using Schaefer Yarns 100% silk. Don't ask the colorway, I have no idea. I got this goodie in the yarn swap I did last month.
Needle: size 8 Denise interchangables
I started and finished this project in less than a week. Yeah, sweet!
It's the perfect decoration for a family member's shoulders. I can't wait to see who wins it!

Wow, that is gorgeous yarn and gorgeous knitting!

I don't blame you for stopping the MS3 stole to decide what to do. I saw it finished on another blog and am not sure that last "wing" part works.

Don't be afraid to graft, it will turn out fine.

That's gorgeous! I love how the yarn worked with that pattern!

It's Elena Piscopia. I thought I remembered from the last time I had to google her that she was a mathematician, but I see that she was actually brilliant overall, and was the first woman in the world to receive a PhD.

Man, I can't believe this is your first lace project. Looks like you've been doing it for ages!

No, no, Leslie. It's not my first lace project. lol.

The designer of the shawl intentionally made the pattern easy, so people could use it as their first lace project. That's what I meant as the best first lace project ever.

Thanks everyone for the comments and compliments. The yarn was amazing, both in color and overall usage.
