I realized that this is the second project that I failed to complete using this yarn. There's gotta be bad mojo with it, right?? Anyone know how to do a yarn exorcism?
I felt a little sick for a moment, there, but I'm sure it's all for the best. It is beautiful yarn, but after two failed projects, you've got to start wondering. Where's John Edward (the medium, not the politician) when you need him?
you are so brave, and an inspiration. Sometimes you just have to frog the #$%^ thing, I never would have learned that if it weren't for you ladies. -KT
Looking at your photos, I see that you are pulling yarn from a ziploc bag, so that the beads collect in the bag? It's pure genius!! There were times when I wanted to frog my ms3, but I was terrified of the resulting "bead explosion" in the house.
Some yarns just need a perfect project - this one is a beautiful color, I'm sure it will find its special project.
Wowie... I agree with gauss (it's such pretty yarn), but if you have negative feelings associated with it now, you might take sachi's advice and relieve yourself of the worry.
The blue is just beautiful. I'm partial to blue. But besides the yarn, I couldn't help but notice how pretty your nails are! Mine are homely and short. I would have loved to be blessed with the "good nail" genes!
The yarn is beautiful. Maybe you could ceremoniously burn your swatch if you still have it. An offering to the knitting powers that be to lift the plight that has been bestowed upon the yarn.
Yarn exocisims are simple. Take the yarn insert it into a bag/whatever and stash for a while. Times vary but I assure you that sooner or later you will need that yarn and it will be there for you.
I'm a 30 something married stay at home mom, knitter and spinner. I take college courses in my spare time and plan on graduating in 2029...or so it seems. I started knitting in 2002, but it feels like I've been doing it forever. Spinning became a hobby in the fall of 2006.
Feel free to leave comments. Let me know about your blog!

Maybe it's time to trade it away. Give you some good juju back!
