What Would You Buy?

I have an Amazon gift certificate worth $130 bucks. It's burning a hole in my pocket.

Part of me wants a new video camcorder. Part of me wants more books. (Please don't say books. haha) Part of me says to save it for when the baby comes.

So tell me, what would you buy? The certificate doesn't have to cover the entire cost.

I have one for $50 and am pondering the same question. I'm thinking of getting a Wii Fit, myself.

You're almost halfway to a new Kindle. That's what I'd get. I want one desperately. Fortunately, my birthday (40) is in September, and I've already made it clear I will be most disappointed if I don't get one!

I would definitely NOT save it for the baby. Not because babies aren't great, but because once the baby comes, things are going to be both tighter financially and more hectic than they are already.

You deserve something nice, especially after all you've gone through.

I say... buy a Kindle. Everyone I know who has it LOVES it, and for a book lover, what better than books you don't have to store!

Well, I think I will save it for when the baby comes and see what else I need. But that's my baby brain thinking...

I'm not a huge camcorder person so I'm no use on that vote. Although I would love to get a DSLR camera, but I wouldn't get it via Amazon though...

Do you have an iTouch/iPhone? That's what I'd get with it.

I'd go for the camcorder. I guess I'm an old fogey when it comes to the kindle. I hate the concept as much as I hate the audio versions. I like my books in book format. Have fun deciding!

I don't love my kindle. It's nice and all, but... I say go for more books. No baby stuff. Babies will suck time/energy/money at an amazing rate. It's like asking yourself at 35 if you really did the right thing to work the summer before grad school instead of going on a road trip. :) Grad school, er, the baby, will be awesome and you won't regret the books you bought right before!
