It once was a single rock. It's split into two now, I imagine from us driving over it repeatedly. From the outside it looks like any other rock in the world. Inside, it's a glittery mess of white, gray and black crystals.
Coolest thing ever.
And Hubs thinks he's paving over the driveway next year. Over my dead body.
Oh, and I hearby declare myself the worst Ravelympics competitor this year. I picked the Bird in Hand Mittens as my project. I decided half way through the first mitten that I wanted to design The Boy a sweater. Off I ran with that project instead. It's like training for the diving, but after getting to China, deciding to do gymnastics instead.
Good news is, all I have to do is the neckline and sewing and the sweater will be done.
Do I get a medal for that??

A trip that should take us about 2 minutes takes about 15. He explores everything while we walk. He picks up stones, an occasional bug, sticks...whatever he finds interesting for that day. I love this. I love the fact that I can give him the space to find new adventures every day.
This is him- he's in the center of the photo. I'm standing at the mailbox, he's turned towards me, yelling, "Momma!?" (because I'm not moving fast enough.) Most days we walk to the mailbox, but he always runs back towards the house, to the bend in the driveway. He knows not to go further, but is also impatient to get back home.
I hope this is the way it always will be.

And the other dying two.

Yay For Intact Living Rooms!
That wooden thing on the right is for our big screen tv. Ignore it.
And here's the room with furniture:
It still needs work, but atleast you can sit in there and watch tv. The room is an odd shape, so getting all that furniture in there was a challenge. It seems a bit overstuffed, but we have an extra room with nothing but toys in it now, so if we needed to, we can put a chair or the sofa in there later.
The chairs are super comfy. The Boy and I snuggled in and napped in one this morning.
We also purchased a new plasma tv. I wish I had my camera on me during *that* ride home. Hubs, The Boy and I drove home squashed with this big box in the back seat. Hysterical.
Tomorrow: dining room. We need a new table. You'll see why.
